It seems like it was only yesterday; we just released “A Second Chase”, finalized the screenplay for “One Final Chase” and even started filming it. But the same thing that happened last semester is happening again.
We stopped.

Again, something called college happened. Sigh…
Along with college, come other extra curricular that the members of BSP are involved in that take up time. The combination of these two things has resulted in “One Final Chase” being falcon-punched somewhere into the depths of “development hell”. Will we get back on track? Eventually. But for now, BSP has to focus on academics…and making sure that we can continue our studies as fim majors next by being 3 of the top 48 students which are allowed to go onto sophomore year…Hang in there kids (again…)
And this time, we’re stepping things up. Everything you loved about “The Chase” and “A Second Chase” will be stepping up to the plate again but on steroids. This is going to be like a “Toy Story 3″ caliber ending except no one is going to get saved from a flaming inferno by “The Claaaaw”.
There’s going to be death. But you probably already knew that. Now the question is: who’s fate will come to a (maybe un)timely end? Get yourselves ready, for “One Final Chase” and one helluva conclusion to a neo-postmodern classic internet short film series.
Remember all that talk about a rape whistle informercial?
Yeah that never happened.
As a collective, we started to lose faith in the project. So for now, “The Rape Whistle” is indefinitely postponed. Tragic right? Wrong.
You see, in a fraction of the time it took us to plan “The Rape Whistle”, we came up with a film idea, wrote a screenplay for it, filmed it, and edited it and released it.

What? That’s not all? That’s right. “The Chase” series is more than a couple of videos. It’s in fact…
a trilogy, a trifecta of suspense and thrills, a tripod supporting something insanely awesome, a dog with only 3 legs that despite how horrible it is you just can’t look away.

Well, we’ve started filming our next video “The Rape Whistle”, and already have a couple of scenes filmed. However, we’re currently waiting for actors (of course….) to arrive so we can continue. In the mean time, enjoy these fine, fine pictures.
3 months. It’s been about 3 months since our first (and I guess last video…) “The Chase” was released to the world. Many people have found great joy in such a video and probably thought to themselves: Wow! What an insanely ridiculously awesome video! I can’t wait for these guys’ next video to come out!
Well, those who thought that did back in October 2010. In January 2011, they probably forgot about our measly existence.
Quite frankly, we kind of forgot about us too.
So, what happened? Why did we only make one video and then disappear for 3 months? College happened.
College Sucks!
No really. After we filmed “The Chase”, we 3 gathered together and came up with a ton of good video ideas that we were going to film. But college happened. Out of nowhere, we were ambushed by midterms, tests, projects, papers, speeches, etc etc. We kept telling each other: OK, this weekend we’ll finally have time to meet up and plan our next video…..Nope. It got so extreme that in between Thanksgiving and his last day before winter break, BSP member Nathaniel Wilson was so overwhelmed and stressed that he contemplated murdering little forest critters to find some solace in life. But, that was soooo last semester.
This semester promises to be a lot better. Our lives are more in order, we no longer have any massive research papers to worry about or film projects that we know we’re going to get a C+ on despite how hard we worked our asses off on it. And, great news.
This weekend, WE’RE FILMING OUR NEXT VIDEO! HOLY BABY JESUS!
We’re finally back on track and we’re rolling again. We’re finally back to doing what we do best.
So once again, mucho gracias for hanging in there (or not unliking our page and unsubscribing from our YouTube channel).
So sometime in the next week or two, you can expect our second video “The Rape Whistle” to appear in the new, stupid subscription page on YouTube (in other words, the new YouTube homepage sucks).
Hey guys, this is Johnathon Van Houdt, and I am the head producer here for Black Snow Productions. For our first blog post, we are going to be introducing ourselves and our production company.
All of the members on BPS are students from Montana State University who are studying film/theatre arts. Our goal for the end of our college careers is to be able to reach out to large audiences who appreciate our films and our desires to become sucessful storytellers. Since all of us share the same passion for filmmaking, we decided that we should start our own production company; a company that is dedicated to bring you fresh and enjoyable content. Our styles of films range from comedic short sketches, action films, parodies, satirical drama, and music videos, so you will be garanteed to recieve fresh content whenever you watch one of our newest videos.
Since we are all college students, I think that it’s only fair that I give you a quick disclaimer: we will not be able to post new content up on a regular basis. Since we all take our education very seriously, we have set aside BPS to be a constructive outlet so that we can hone the skills that we have learned into our own narratives and stories. When we are not swarmed by college essays and finals, we are writing and filming our own screenplays and posting them on youtube. However, when there are times when videos are not posted on a regular basis, just remember that we are problably working out asses of just so that we can continue our education here at Montana State University. Just a side note: we will be trying to post a new video once ever two weeks or so. Just don’t try to get too mad at us if we miss our deadlines
We post most of our videos strait to youtube right after the finished product is exported. You can view our youtube channel here: BlackSnowProductions Channel. Some of our other videos will be entered for competitions and film festivals as well. These videos will be posted on the channel as soon as the festivals come to a close.
We would appreciate if you guys would continue to come back to our channel ever so often if you enjoy our content. Ever single view that you guys give supports us in more ways that you would think.
